2022 Swimming Victoria Open Short Course Championships

In a fantastic return for our open and younger age swimmers, the short course championships returned to MSAC

In a fantastic return for our open and younger age swimmers, the Victorian short course championships returned to MSAC.

We had a huge team consisting of Robbe Dilissen (Open), Allison Do (12/under relay), Jaime Lee Getson (Open), Domi Hart (Open), Caitlin Huell (Open), Ally Hutchinson (12/ under relay), Lachlan Jackett Simpson (Open), Ruby Knott (Open), William Laidlaw (Open), Nicholas Layton (Open), Anna Li (Open), Jack Morrow (Open), Calvin Reed (Open), Samuel Scodella (Open), Joshua Seignior (Open), Adam Selwood (Open), Wilson Staples (Open), Johann Stickland (Open), Thomas Sutherland (Open), Tyler Theodore (Open), Victoria Therhaag (12/under relay).

Highlights included:

-JL snagging an incredible 4 state titles

- Robbe racing an incredible 11 events over the two day meet, amassing a haul of 92 points with a title in the 1500m among his other medals and finals

- Liam Laidlaw winning the 50m freestyle in a hot field

-age groupers Jack Morrow and Tyler Theodore placing 6th in the 200m back final and 7th in the 200m Butterfly final, respectively

- Adam winning the 100m and 200m Breaststroke double

- Laidlaw, Seignior, Stickland and LJS winning the 4 x 100m FS

-James McBride taking gold in the 200m Butterfly

-Calvin taking the 50m Butterfly state title

-Huge number of finalists and medalists including Domi Hart, Caitlin Huell, Ruby Knott, Nicholas Layton, Anna Li, Johann Stickland
